I love the simplicity of your overall design. I think it reflects well on your style. The only issue I have is the alignment in a few places. I don’t like where the social networking icons are lining up, I think they should either be aligned with the black line above them, or with the pictures themselves. As it is, it seems as if they are just slightly off. I have the same problem with the alignment of the links. Also, is the word “photographer” centered under your name? It seems slightly off, but it might just be the overall left alignment of the page as a whole throwing me off, which I’m sure is unintentional. I’m also not sure why your boxes are different sizes. May be a view thing. Not sure.

I like the idea behind your layout. I really like the splash page, I’m not sure I understand the white bar across the top, unless there are going to be more items included up there. I like the idea of the gallery page, I think the alignment of the bubbles needs a bit more work, and again, I’m not sure I understand the white bar on top. I feel like your site is going to be easy to navigate, which is nice. It’s simple, but unique and interesting.
